Hey everyone.
It's been a while since I'e posted something but recently women's day just passed and I felt like expressing my views via my own platform.
So, we've seen a lot of empowering messages for women across the globe, about how they deserve more. Well, it got me to thinking about quite a number of things, and I think I'll just get right into them.
1. I may get a lot of heat for this, but haven't the Messenger of Allah (SAWW) taught us enough commandments about how women should be treated. I'll be honest, by the Islamic laws, we're almost royalty. We've been given such a huge deal of respect, and we just let that slip by. I have seen examples of Mother Theresa, Marie Curie, a whole bunch of TV actors, singers and presenters, being quoted as examples for women empowerment. Never once did I see someone quote the examples of Ummahat ul Momineen (mothers of believers) (RA) or Fatima Jinnah or Bi Amma or Begum Ra'ana Liaquat Ali Khan. Why can't we quote examples from our own history, just because they "lived in different times"? Well, times may change, but the status of women never does, according to Islam.
2. On this women's day, why did we forget about our housemaids who don't have the basic necessities of life? What about the mother in Syria who had to sit with her dying son and hold her tears back as she kisses him and asks him to recite Shahadat? Where did we mention the doctors working in the hospitals of Syria selflessly, not knowing when the ir hospital would be subjected to an air-strike? Where did these women go?
3. Yes, I do believe that women are worth so much more, but should that be subjected to just 8th March? As Muslims, we need to know how sensitive the commandments are about a woman's honour and respect.
4. I may receive a lot of backlash for this, but we, as women, need to treat ourselves with respect and dignity before demanding that from someone else. Now, when I say this, I refer to treating ourselves with respect mentally, physically, verbally and emotionally. We can't keep on being the victims, becaue our religion has allowed us our rights. We need to be strong and think about "human rights" before we do about "women rights" because trust me, the first one will get the job done and then no one has to say, "Happy Women's day" on just March 8. It could just be "Happy Women". Period.
5. I do not believe in a man and woman being equal. I believe they hold their separate rights and have separate ranks that are not to be compared with one another. So just treat yourselves as respectfully as royals are treated and the world will too. Don't go off thinking that you need to sell yourselves to be even looked at. Don't go giving away your honour and pride for nothing. Enjoy the rights Allah has bestowed you with.
That's all from my side.
Stay positive and spread positivity.
Pray for yourself, your family, your country and the world. The world needs prayers.
Prayers for everyone's peace and joy.

Women's Day, apparently.

Where is humanity?
Today, who among the entire human race knew that today when innocent children would say goodbye to their parents with smiles on their faces, it would be the last time their parents would see them? Who knew that the mother who prepared her child's favorite would not be given a chance to see the smile on his face when he sees his favorite food? Who knew that the father who is in the office all day and at night enjoys a short company with his children to talk about their whole day would not get this meeting today? Who knew that the baby brothers and sisters who wait for their elder siblings to come home so that they can play would not get the chance today?
Today, some brutal beasts were responsible for murdering hundreds of innocent kids and wrecking thousands of hearts. Today the whole Pakistani nation cried. No eye remained dry. But they were not only tears of sorrow. They were tears that swore revenge. They were tears that told the affected families"I will do everything in my power to make sure that those who did this face the worst outcome possible"
Today, in Peshawar, the so-called "Tehreek-e-Talibaan Pakistan" was responsible for the worst case of manslaughter. Over a hundred children were brutally murdered at gun-point. No human could ever have the guts to pull-off something so wrecked. This act requires the other person to not have a heart. And that is exactly what the people who did this proved; that they are cruel, heartless and soulless beasts.
They call themselves Muslims? They are not! A Muslim values human-life. A Muslim wouldn't hurt a fly let alone over a hundred school kids who were learning. I mean, were they learning ways to take-over? Even if they were, they were kids. How could anyone kill them?
They call themselves Pathans? No way! A Pathan isn't such a degraded person.
You wanna know what they are. They are savages. Actually that would be an understatement. The correct word for them isn't introduced since the dictionaries are made by humans and humans can't even think about going so beneath.
I am shocked that those who did this, how did they have the guts to do it? How were they able to look into the eyes of those innocent children and suck the light out of them one after another?
May Allah bring upon them His worst wrath. May He make an example out of them in this world. Ameen
The families that were left crippled, if this small effort reaches any of them, I know it's nothing that I just jotted down a few words. It won't in a million years be even a drop if comfort but I just want you know that I stand with you. The whole nation does. The whole Muslim Ummah does. The whole world does. May Allah bless you with patience and revenge for those you lost. Ameen

I need HOPE
Howdy folks!
So ummm it really has been quite some time since I blogged something. I mean not that it mattered but still I hope there are some people who like what I write.
Well let's get started!
To be honest life hasn't been that easy for me recently. I just couldn't make lemonade out of all the lemons life handed me. It just didn't happen. As soon as I felt that I had almost made it through a dark phase another one piled upon it. It was like going on a journey and I had to face the worst things possible on the way. Most of them came out of the blue. I mean losing my grandma (May Allah rest her soul in peace) on the very next day of Eid. I mean I met her the day before she died and she was perfectly fine. It was so sudden. University life didn't make things any better. Crappy exams no matter how hard I tried. My life seemed so pointless. It felt as if my life was the perfect example for bad luck.
I know that it is God's design and I know perfectly well that I have to play my part, but you can't help but think that is it gonna be the same? Happiness and ecstasy pass away so quickly but sorrows don't.
But whenever I come to my senses I stumble upon a hope that this world is balanced and if Allah is testing me by putting me through all this He is the one who is gonna get me out of it. I just wish that there was some way that this fact remains in my mind throughout and that I may always cling onto the hope that it's gonna get better.

Does it matter?
Hola people,
It's been a while since I wrote anything. I actually was reading something about people caring what others think about them and then someone suggesting that don't care what people think. Now,wondering upon the same thought have you ever found this thing applicable to your personal life? I mean we can have that I-don't-care attitude for only a while ,but after that what others think of us starts getting to our heads and bugging us. People judge you and put labels on you and you can only ignore them for just a while. After that you start doubting yourself too,and then you believe in all those judgements passed on about you and in the end you let them define you. So I think it does matter what others think about you.
But should it? I mean are you living your life for your own self or are you living their lives for them? Are you having fun with how life is working out for you? If the first question is answered "I'm living my own life" and the second one is answered "Yup" then continue with your life. People are used to pass judgements and they will and only because they know that in the end you are gonna give in to what they think.
So, if you're in high school and a nerd or a geek as termed by the others hell stay that way. You're the one who's gonna end up in MIT or Harvard or Yale or the other universities. Someone thinks you're not bright just because you're among the jocks well then you're the one whose gonna end up with the sports scholarship or compete in the Olympics.
In short, at times what others think does matter but don't let it define you your whole life. 'Cause life has a way of working out in the end.
Regards,

Aren't they human?
Hey folks,
Recently a traumatic event occurred within the world we live in and it didn't get the necessary attention and NO, I am not talking about Messi losing the final and crying. I am talking about the poor people of Gaza who have been ruthlessly killed and massacred.
I mean are we so much blind to see what they are going through and still pray that "O Lord,May this team win the FIFA"? I mean seriously? You can find numerous statuses for FIFA and not even half of them for Gaza. Are we really that much heartless as to be immune to that huge massacre. They are killing children, men, women and old people ruthlessly. We only need just 1 sight of the killings to be completely shattered that our brothers and sisters are being brutally killed without a slightest show of mercy and here we are still enjoying FIFA.
The thing is you really don't need to be a Muslim in order to feel and see their pain. You just need to be a human. The Israeli Jews are being merciless over there. They are not humans.
Honestly speaking there isn't much we can do. But being Muslims we have the most powerful weapon that can change fate. It's our prayers. Allah grants your prayers while fasting so pray for the people of Gaza. Also sign this petition:

So that's it for now.

Why should you feel lucky?
Hey people,
So just now a question popped in my head. "Why should I feel lucky?"
I mean I screw up big time, I get things wrong, I get into fights, I am not the happiest person alive and the most basic point I make idiotic mistakes.
Well I was just watching "This Means War" and in that movie, FDR says that it's the mistakes that make us who we are. And you know what ponder upon the dialogue for a minute and you'll see for yourself. I mean do you think that someone can live your life better than you or understand you since according to Tom Cruise in "Rock of Ages", "Only I know me since I live up here." So you are the perfect you!
As far as feeling lucky goes and the question why well respond with a question "Why not?"
I mean take a look in the mirror. You are as perfect as you were meant to be. You are beautiful since in Islam a beautiful person is a person who is whole and Allah has made all of us whole. We have flaws but we have our plus points to counter them. We have people who love us, friends who laugh at our funny and ridiculous jokes, we have a life and we are living it free. So, why not feel lucky that Allah has bestowed us with many things.
Moreover No two people are the same even if they have same backgrounds or are twins. You have some hidden ability that no one else does. Find it and own it to be nearer to the best you and you would feel that I'm unlike the rest. So feel lucky 'cause you are what you feel. :)

It's okay to cry
So hey there again,
Ever felt a need to cry or scream out loud? Maybe because you just need to get one out of your system or maybe 'cause you didn't when you had to just because the world seemed deaf to it. Maybe you thought that crying would actually make you weak. Well get this the world is not gonna care a bit if you don't so what difference does it make if you did? You would get it out of your system right?
Actually there are people here who actually care about you. Sometimes being tough all the time shows some people that you don't really feel pain or care. But here are people who feel what you need to tell them. So go for it. Cry. Scream as loud as possible. 'Cause getting this out of your system would matter to those who hold you dear. And shedding a tear won't make you look weak. It would show that you are a human, that you have some people that you care about and don't wanna let it go. So go for it. 'Cause if you do people would actually notice and care for you and you will know that you were, are and will never be alone. You always have those who love you and care about you :)
So this wraps it up....
